The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han is an adorable story with relatable characters and a cute story line. Isabella, ‘Belly’ goes to her mother’s best friend, Susannah’s beach house, every summer. But this year something changes with Susannah’s two sons. They notice Belly’s beauty for the first time, and apparently they like what they see. With heart breaks and first dates, this book is a pleasing story to those of you who like a little love, and maybe some betrayal.(Reviewed by Gingerbread637, 13, Western Middle School)
