Today, I would like to focus in on one author, on one series that I absolutely love to death. My love for it is being rekindled right now, because I miss the level of excellence this series brought to my literary life. Every book was amazing- even though I never finished the last one because I couldn't bear to have it end.
This series is the Gallagher Girls series.
Ally Carter, in Gallagher Girls, has created a fun, mystery-filled world of diverse characters, twisting alliances, huge surprises, and more. I loved this series when book 1 came out ten years ago, in 2006. I was 10. I listened to them on audio with my mom, and she loved them. Since then, I've done continuous rereads as each progressive book came out, and I'm getting ready to do another one, because they're appealing to every age, and because they feel like home. So if you haven't read them yet, and you want a fun, fast read about spies, you should go grab them, and then tell me about them! I work at the South Branch ;D Here's the link.

Teen Book Review: Perfect Cover by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Perfect Cover by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, was hilarious to read. It was as comical as it was clever. Toby Klein, the main character of this book is a phenomenal computer hacker but prefers combat boots to heels. So when a group of cheerleaders recruit her to be on their squad she can't help but laugh. But she realizes that it's not just any group of cheerleaders, it's a group of spies. After she joins the squad it gets even funnier as she's forced to wear skirts and lipstick. I couldn't get enough of this book and am very excited to read the second installment.

Monday Meme Spotlight: Ally Carter
Ally Carter writes about spies.
Well, she has a series about spies, and a series about thieves, and she's just started a new series about embassy kids embroiled in a conspiracy.
Ally is a ranch girl from Oklahoma. Her first series was one for adults, published in 2005 and 2006. Then she began what is her most well-known series, the Gallagher Girls. I’d Tell You I Love You but Then I’d Have to Kill You was published by Disney-Hyperion in April 2006. It was followed by Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy (October 2007), Don’t Judge a Girl By Her Cover (June 2009), Only the Good Spy Young (June 2010), Out of Sight, Out of Time (March 2012). United We Spy (September 2013) is the sixth–and final–Gallagher Girls novel.*
She also published Heist Society (February 2010) and its sequels Uncommon Criminals (June 2011), and Perfect Scoundrels (February 2013).*
All Fall Down is the first book in her new Embassy Row series. It was
published on January 20, 2015 and will launch a new three-book series
with Scholastic.*
All of the books in every one of those YA series is awesome- as a long-time fan since Love You Kill You I've read all of her books. I'd recommend them for any age and any fan base with an unconditional love.
